“I was very relieved to find the support and advocacy at the SACFL. The staff was very prompt to help me and my family in all the ways possible. I received safety planning resources as well which has help me make a plan for the future. I am so so very grateful”

Education and Training

At the Survivor Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes, we believe the best way to end abuse is to prevent it! Our Community Outreach and Prevention Education team offers a variety of free trainings to community members, professionals, and schools. These trainings provide information about abuse topics and teach how to recognize and prevent abuse.

Presentations, trainings, and programs can be tailored to your group’s exact needs and interests. Common topics for trainings and presentations include:

  • Consent
  • Domestic/Dating/Family Violence
  • Bystander Intervention
  • Healthy Relationships
  • Child Abuse Prevention (Erin’s Law Trainings)
  • Sexual Assault & Sexual Harassment
  • Human Trafficking
  • Stalking
  • Parenting Previously Abused Children
